We are all guilty of carrying a drink in our handbags, but what to do if it leaks and leaves a stain?! This fushia pink Bayswater had a large water mark on it’s back from a spillage. After it’s HBSpa Clean and Colour Restoration at The Handbag Spa this Bayswater bag has been brought back to life and ready for use!

 

 

After attaining unsightly marks this unique Mulberry Alexa came in to The Handbag Spa, in need of some TLC and stain removal. It undertook a HBSpa and Colour Touch Up, leaving no trace of it’s previous stains.

The day to day dirt build up on fabric bags can soon become unsightly. This Mulberry handbags lining was looking a bit grubby before it’s trip to The Handbag Spa. The zip had left dark marks on the interior and overall it had gone dark with dirt and use. It had a HBSpa treatment, so the interior and exterior were fully cleaned using this unique cleaning system. Now the lining of this Mulberry bag looks so much lighter and the zip marks have reduced considerably.

 

The inside of this Mulberry handbag had definitely seen better days. The lining on this everyday bag had seen make up spills, liquid staining, dirt build up and more. Handbag corner’s can see a lot of wear and tear, but not to fear – The Handbag Spa’s team of experts are here! This Mulberry Alexa had exposed piping and worn corners, but after our technicians skillfully repaired the corner and colour restored the area, no-one would now be any the wiser of it’s weary past…

 

This has to be one of the most common problems we see on Mulberry Bayswaters, a bit of an Achilles Heel of this almost indestructible bag. Our solution to this problem is to replace any damaged piping in that area, and seal up the area using glues, fillers and pigments to rebuild the area so it’s strong and ready to face the elements. The first rule with dealing with a handbag or purse emergency is DON’T PANIC!

If you get an ink stain on your precious bag or purse do not attempt to remove it with house hold remedies, cleaners etc you will probably make the situation worse. With aniline style leathers rubbing an ink stain can only send it deeper in to the leather making it even harder to remove. There is also the chance that you will flatten the grain pattern on the leather which can be extremely difficult to reverse!
